Why do the older boxes not have the new On Demand players?

We are constantly looking at ways to enhance our service, and the release of our new 4K TV boxes has enabled us to expand our OnDemand offering. Where we can, we will share these content updates across all our devices, but this is not always possible as the technical requirements of many new On Demand players exceeds the technical capabilities of our older generation boxes. YouTube Kids and BritBox are currently only available on the new Freesat 4K TV Boxes. Find out more about our new 4K TV Boxes</a>. Similarly Rakuten is only available on Humax-manufactured Freetime with Freesat set-top boxes.

ITV channel changes; will my region be impacted on my Humax or earlier Freesat device?

Regional channels on ITV will change from 20th October 2020 as part of ITV’s continued commitment to delivering high definition (HD) broadcasting across the majority of ITV regions and subregions on Freesat. To access these channels you may not need to do anything, the right news programme should automatically run on ITV (channel 103), although depending on the make/model of TV or Set Top Box, you may need to complete a channel scan on your device.
