World on Fire: Drama Returns for 2nd Season
Watch the trailer for a sneak peek:
What is World on Fire about?
With both new and known characters taking us across the globe, we’ll follow the lives, loves, and struggles of our cast against the backdrop of World War II.
Picking up from the end of season one, which left off in June 1940, the second season kicks off in October of the same year, coinciding with the terrifying advent of The Blitz. With six new episodes awaiting viewers, we’ll witness the conflict in Britain intensify as RAF pilots valiantly battle German bombers amidst the skies of Manchester. Simultaneously, on the streets below, rescue operations commence, painting a poignant picture of courage in the face of devastation.
Moreover, the arrival of Jan's sister, Kasia, at Robina's doorstep reveals the haunting psychological scars she bears from her time in war-torn Warsaw, serving as a chilling reminder of the lasting effects of conflict.
While chaos engulfs Europe, Harry embarks on a journey to the North African desert, where the North Africa campaign unfolds. British troops join forces with Australian Diggers and Indian Sappers, plunging our characters into the midst of a grueling and arduous battle.
As well as all this, we know we’ll also see scenes from occupied France and Nazi Germany.
