Channel 4 Comedy Freesat Giveaway
By entering the prize draw (“Prize Draw”), you agree that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree that you will be bound by them.
1. The Promoter
1.1 The promoter is: Everyone TV Limited (“Freesat”) with its registered office at Triptych Bankside, 6th Floor, 185 Park Street, London, SE1 9SH.
2. The Giveaway
2.1. The title of the giveaway is “Channel 4 comedy on Freesat”.
2.2. The giveaway provides the chance for one (1) person to win two (2) tickets to the Channel 4 Comedy Awards in memory of Sean Locke taking place on Tuesday 22nd October at Project House, Armley Rd, Leeds LS12 2DR
3. How to Enter
3.1. The giveaway will run from 4:30pm on 30/09/2024 (the “Opening Date”) to 08:00am on 04/10/2024 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.
3.2. All giveaway entries must be received by Freesat by no later than 08:00am on the Closing Date. All giveaway entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.3. To enter the giveaway, you must see the giveaway post on the Freesat Instagram Page and do all the following:
3.3.1. Like the giveaway post,
3.3.2. Follow @freesat.tv and @channel4 on Instagram, and
3.3.3. Tag your funniest friend
3.4. You need to follow all the above steps for a successful entry.
3.5. All complete giveaway entries will be entered into a pool and one (1) winner will be chosen at random by Freesat.
3.6. No purchase necessary and there is no charge to register for use of the Instagram website.
3.7. Freesat will not accept:
3.7.1. responsibility for giveaway entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, but not limited to, as a result of equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
3.7.2. proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the giveaway.
3.8. By submitting a giveaway entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
4. Eligibility
4.1. The giveaway is open to all residents in the UK (excluding the Channel Islands) aged sixteen (16) and over.
4.2. Notwithstanding Condition 4.1, the giveaway is not open to:
4.2.1. employees of Freesat or its holding or subsidiary companies;
4.2.2. employees of agents or suppliers of Freesat or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the giveaway or its administration; or
4.2.3. members of the immediate families or households of 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 above.
4.3. In entering the giveaway, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Freesat may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the giveaway.
4.4. Freesat will not accept giveaway entries that are automatically generated by computer, completed by third parties or in bulk.
4.5. Freesat reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize giveaway.
5. The Prize
5.1. The prize is two (2) tickets to the Channel 4 Comedy Awards in memory of Sean Locke taking place on Tuesday 22nd October at Project House, Armley Rd, Leeds LS12 2DR
5.2. Freesat reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
5.3. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
6 The Winner
6.1. The decision of Freesat is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6.2. Freesat will contact the winner personally via Instagram no more than two (2) days after the Closing Date. At this point Freesat will require the winner’s email address for further correspondence regarding delivering the prize and the winner’s county in order to comply with the obligation below.
6.3. Freesat must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Freesat will send the surname and county of the prize winner to anyone who emails digital@everyonetv.co.uk or messages the Freesat Instagram Page.
6.4. By submitting a giveaway entry, you are agreeing to the use and publication of your surname and county in the manner described in 6.3 above.
6.5. If you object to your surname and county being published or made available, please email Freesat at digital@everyonetv.co.uk prior to the Closing Date. In such circumstances, Freesat must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
7 Claiming the Prize
7.1. Please allow thirty (30) days for delivery of the prize.
7.2. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
7.3. Freesat will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed the prize within two (2) days the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected at random from the successful entries received before the Closing Date.
7.4. Freesat does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize or you provide incorrect address details for delivery of the prize.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1. Insofar as is permitted by law, Freesat, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
9. Data Protection and Publicity
9.1. Freesat will only process your personal information as set out in the Freesat Privacy Notice. See also Condition 6.3, Condition 6.4 and Condition 6.5, with regard to the announcement of winners.
10. General
10.1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Freesat may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the giveaway.
10.2. Freesat reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel or amend the giveaway where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the law of, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of, England and Wales.
10.4. If any court or competent authority finds that any provision of these terms and conditions (or part of any provision) is invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision or part-provision shall, to the extent required, be deemed to be deleted, and the validity and enforceability of the other provisions of these terms and conditions shall not be affected.
